Coating thickness gauges are used for the measurement of coatings on all metal surfaces whether for Powder coating or Painted finishes.
A lot of work we carry out requires testing of the coating thickness to achieve the correct standard or DFT (dry film thickness).
This is to ensure that metal is protected, or in the case of a shot blasting to cover the surface profile and build the correct protection for the substrate.
In some cases three to four coatings will be tested as the job progresses and a final overall test to ensure conformity.
